- Create your own jewelry and give it to your girlfriend to sweep her off her feet. The jewelry can be anything from a necklace made from teardrop gemstones to snowflake-shaped earrings made from beads. While it may not be of the highest quality, it is a different gift from what she is accustomed to. Add to the fact that you made it with her in mind and she will absolutely love it.
- If your girlfriend has a sweet tooth, she will adore personalized candy. You can personalize candies (see Resources) by putting her name and her face on them (e.g. M&M's) and have it shipped to you. To make the gift more personal, personalize your candy to have a picture of the two of you along with a loving message (e.g. "happy birthday to my love," or "i love you, happy birthday") she will treasure.
- One gift that will impress your girlfriend (especially if you can cook and she doesn't know this) is to cook her dinner. You may have to ask around, but figure out some of her favorite dishes. Once you have an idea as to what to cook, make dinner for her and invite her over to eat. Dim the lights and light candles in the middle of your silk-covered dinner table to set the mood for a romantic meal.
- Let your girlfriend indulge in a little pampering by purchasing for her a pass to a local day spa. While passes are fairly inexpensive and cover lots of basic services (e.g. massages, manicures, pedicures), if you can afford it purchase some more expensive services the spa has to offer. Many health spas offer services that are a little more expensive such as hot rock massages and aromatherapy massages.
