- 1). Plug the AirPort Express into an electrical outlet. Connect the DSL or cable modem connecting cable to the Ethernet port on the AirPort Express.
- 2). Insert the AirPort Utility CD into the computer CD-ROM drive. An AirPort Express window opens.
- 3). Click the "AirPort Express" package icon. Install the software to your computer. Restart your computer for the changes to take effect.
- 4). Open AirPort Utility on your computer. On a Mac, open the "Finder," click the "Applications" folder and click "Utilities." On a Windows PC, click "Start" and click "All Programs." Click "AirPort."
- 5). Wait for AirPort Utility to locate the AirPort Express. A window appears once it is located. Click "Continue" to follow the instructions to set up the AirPort Express as your base station.
- 6). Click "Update" to complete the process. Wait for AirPort Express to reboot. A message appears saying "Setup Complete."
- 7). Plug a 3.5mm speaker cord into the jack on the AirPort Express.
- 8). Open AirPort Utility the same way as in step four. Click on "AirPort Express" on the left-hand side of the window to select it. Click the "Manual Setup" button.
- 9). Click the "Music" icon. Check the box next to "Enable AirTunes." Close AirPort Utility.

Open iTunes. Click the drop-down menu next to the speaker symbol in the lower right-hand corner of the iTunes window. Click "AirPort Express" on the menu. - 11
Click a song to play in iTunes. It streams through the AirPort Express and through the speakers.
