Strategy 1: Link your Personal Facebook Profile to your Fanpage.
As stated before, this should be as simple as the following:
If you find this is the case, please follow the 4 steps in my previous post to work around this situation.
Strategy 2: Put your Facebook Fanpage Link in your Email Signature Many people follow this strategy, but some do not realize this or they overlook it so I thought I would mention it here.
It is a good idea to add your Facebook fanpage link to your email signature, along with any other social links you may be active in.
Many people add their Twitter and YouTube links along with their Skype usernames so that they are easily accessible.
If you are interested in putting social icons in your email signature, check out the Wisestamp site.
You can put in your picture, a link to a blog post, a famous quote, and/or icons linking to your favorite social media sites.
Another strategy is to link to a squeeze page (lead capture page) to help you grow your mailing list.
For best results, make a statement as to "why" the reader should want to like your fanpage or join your list.
Strategy 3: Embed Videos onto your Facebook Page and Blog You can just load your videos on YouTube and link from your Facebook page to YouTube for people to check out your videos or you can put a YouTube application on your Facebook page.
However, there is a huge advantage to actually uploading your videos directly to Facebook.
You can take the Facebook source code and embed it on your own blog.
If people are logged in to Facebook and they are watching Facebook embedded videos on your blog, they will see a Like Button pop up for your page.
Your viewer can click the like button and never leave your video or blog site.
They will automatically become a fan of your page and their posts will show up in your newsfeeds.
If your viewer decides to share your video with their friends, they too will see the like button and have the opportunity to become a fan of your page as well.
Strategy 4: Do a Giveaway Another strategy to get more likes to your page is to have a contest or a giveaway.
You could make it to where the only requirement for consideration or entry is to be a fan of the page by clicking the like button.
The more people who click your like button, the more your content will get into the feeds so that people can see your information on an ongoing basis.
You can also promote your giveaway on other social media sites and place banners linking to your page encouraging visitors to click the like button.
If you do follow this strategy, it is best to giveaway something that is connected to your market or niche so that you are attracting better prospects for your business.
Facebook has strict rules regarding contest and giveaways and requires that they be administered through applications that meet certain requirements.
Technically, you could possibly build your own application, but it's more prudent to use one of the many third-party one that are available online such as Wildfire.
Strategy 5: Get Social! This is easier said than done because you have to spend the time to develop relationships online.
It is best to get involved in conversations where your ideal audience is already active and you go in and contribute relevant and useful information.
Remember to act like a peer of the group and not as someone trying to sell something.
Use Facebook search and the directory to find active pages that complement your niche and become an active participant in the conversations.
Real relationships online can ultimately convert into paying clients, but this only happens when you develop friendships over time and offer value or solutions to problems people may face.
As stated before, this should be as simple as the following:
- go to your Facebook profile & click "edit profile"
- select "education and work"
- type in the name of your fanpage page in the "employer field"
- click "add employer" or "add a project" depending on page category
If you find this is the case, please follow the 4 steps in my previous post to work around this situation.
