Looking back on life's story, we all have experienced coming in contact with people who for what ever the reason, looked up to.
Many of these people were either related to us, or were our teachers, and sometimes our coaches.
The beauty of all that's involved in the relationship of a student, if you will, and the teacher or mentor, is that time and time again it didn't start out like that.
More often than not it wasn't a easy fit to the puzzle, and over time the two became aligned, and a path was carved.
There is an old saying that simply states, when the student is ready the teacher will appear.
It's been my personal experience that this statement holds water, meaning it's true more often than not.
What ever the venture I have aspired to learn over my lifetime, started out with me knowing very little to nothing about the in's and out's involved.
But, through being diligent, and focused, in wanting to learn and understand the process, someone always showed up with more knowledge, or understanding or the necessary things that I needed in order to be successful.
If you don't believe that this happens for everyone, just start to commit to learning something that you don't already know.
Become passionate about understanding it well enough so that you could teach it.
Which, by the way is the way I learn, my goal for everything I either have to learn or want to learn is to get enough knowledge to be able to teach it.
And you will see that as soon as you begin, you will automatically attract others who will get involved in the process, and will either teach you, or you will teach them.
Trust that it just happens that way, and those people either become your mentor's or you become their mentor's.
Another iron clad way to have mentor's is to read, listen to audio's, or watch video's of people who either are doing, or have done, the same things that you are interested in doing.
That's right many of our mentor's we never get to see or meet.
It's only through their teaching, that they become our mentor's rather that the combination of talking to, and watching them.
This way however, is still effective because it's not always necessary for them to be physically there for you to learn the process, and receive the full benefit of their knowledge.
