- 1). Use your concierge service if you are staying at an upscale hotel or casino. Concierge services are dialed into the city scene and know where to send you for live jazz. Tip the concierge if you approve of his recommendations and enjoyed the jazz club. Ask the concierge if your hotel or casino has a piano or jazz bar.
- 2). Get a copy of the local newspaper the Las Vegas Review-Journal or check it out online. Go to the local happenings section to look up jazz clubs or live performances in the area. If possible, get a copy of the Friday edition, as it contains the weekly entertainment guide and club listings.
- 3). Head to Mandalay Bay and the House of Blues. While the House of Blues specializes in blues acts, live jazz acts are routinely booked at the club. You can also enjoy some great food while listening to the music. Mandalay Bay and House of Blues is located on the south end of the Strip at 3950 Las Vegas Blvd. South.

The Music Department is located at 4505 S. Maryland Parkway. Listings featuring UNLV students are also found at the university website as well as at the Las Vegas Jazz website (see resources for both).
- 5). Use the Las Vegas Jazz website. This is the official website for the Las Vegas jazz scene. The website features comprehensive listings of live jazz in the Las Vegas area. Look on the menu bar and choose the Calendar section for current live jazz clubs and events that while take place when you are in Las Vegas.
