- 1). Sign into your Facebook account and select the "Privacy Settings" option from the "Account" tab in the upper-right corner of any page.
- 2). Select the "Customize Settings" link that appears under the "Sharing On Facebook" heading.
- 3). Review your current privacy settings. Set the "Posts By Me" option to your desired setting. Select "Everyone" to allow your posts to be viewed and shared by all Facebook users. Select "Friends Of Friends" to allow your posts to be viewed and shared by Facebook users to whom you are connected through at least one friend. Select "Friends Only" to limit the viewing and sharing of your posts to users who are your friends. Select "Customize" to make your posts visible or invisible to users on an individual basis. Enter the users' names in the resulting box and click "Save Setting."
- 4). Scroll down to the "Things Others Share" section. Review your current privacy settings for the sections labeled "Posts And Videos You're Tagged In," "Permission To Comment On Your Posts" and "Can See Wall Posts By Friends." Select "Everyone" to allow your posts to be viewed and shared by all Facebook users. Select "Friends Of Friends" to allow your posts to be viewed and shared by Facebook users to whom you are connected through at least one friend. Select "Friends Only" to limit the viewing and sharing of your posts to users who are your friends. Select "Customize" to make your posts visible or invisible to users on an individual basis. Enter the users' names in the resulting box and click "Save Setting."Check the box located next to the "Friends Can Post On My Wall," section to enable this feature.
- 5). Click "Preview My Profile" to see how your profile will appear to others or click "Back To Privacy" to return to your privacy settings page.
