Scott County is in southwestern Illinois, 50 miles west of the capital, Springfield. The county is part of Illinois' great plains area and boasts scenic hills along the Illinois river. Consisting of around 5,000 people and founded in the 19th century, Scott County has seen it's share of history. Stephen A. Douglas taught in Winchester and Abraham Lincoln was known to visit. The county has a reasonable choice of bars. - The Easy Street Lounge in Winchester is an informal pub that has accents of wood and numerous large screen televisions usually set to a sports channel. The pub has a variety of beers on tap and in bottles along with a full selection of hard alcohol. The pub offers a variety of events such as karaoke night, open mic nights, live entertainment, comedy nights, and 50 cent wings nights. The bar hosts various holiday parties such as Halloween costume parties and holiday events.

They offer drink specials on certain days, such as $2 flavored martinis, $2 glasses of wine and $1 well drinks. They pride themselves on offering a congenial atmosphere filled with friends and family.
