- 1). Locate the "Set" and "Prog/Man" buttons on the front of your Robertshaw thermostat. Press both buttons and release them simultaneously to access the thermostat's clock and date setting mode; the clock will appear on the digital display. Use the "Up" and "Down" arrow buttons, located to the left of the "Set" button, to adjust the clock until the desired time is displayed. Press "Set" to save your changes to the clock; the day of week indicator will appear next on the display screen. Use the arrow buttons to adjust the day of week indicator until the correct value is shown. Select "1" for Monday, "2" for Tuesday, "3" for Wednesday, "4" for Thursday, "5" for Friday, "6" for Saturday or "7" for Sunday. Press "Set" to confirm your selection.
- 2). Set the temperature differential for your thermostat. The first-stage temperature differential will appear on the display after you have selected the day of week. Note that the thermostat is factory-set to turn on whenever the room temperature changes by a single degree. Use the "Up" and "Down" arrow buttons to adjust the temperature differential to prevent the system from turning on too frequently; press "Set." Use the same process to set the second-stage temperature differential.
- 3). Program the thermostat's residual cool feature to keep the fan running for 30, 60 or 90 seconds after the compressor turns off. Note that this feature is only applicable when the system is in cool mode. Use the arrow buttons to highlight the desired option and press "Set."
- 4). Program your Robertshaw thermostat using the QuickSet function; this feature programs all seven days of the week with the same heating or cooling schedule. Locate the "Cool/Off/Heat/Em" switch to the right of the "Prog/Man" button. Move the switch into the "Cool" or "Heat" position. Press and hold the "Set" button, then press the "Down" arrow button; release both buttons simultaneously. The "Morn" indicator will appear on the digital display. Use the arrow buttons to adjust the time that you want the system to come on in the morning, if desired; press "Set." Use the arrow buttons to adjust the temperature for the "Morn" segment of the schedule, if desired; press "Set." Use the same process to set the "Day," "Eve" and "Nite" schedule segments.
- 5). Program your heating and cooling schedule one day at a time. Move the "Cool/Off/Heat/Em" switch into the "Cool" position. Press "Set;" the day of week indicator will appear on the display. Use the arrow buttons to highlight the desired day of week; choose 1 to 7 for Monday through Sunday, as above. Press the "Set" button to make your selection. Use the process described in step 4 to set the "Morn," "Day," "Eve" and "Nite" schedule segments. Repeat this step, moving the selector switch into the "Heat" position, to program the winter settings for your thermostat.
- 6). Locate the "Fan/Auto/On" switch to the right of the "Cool/Off/Heat/Em" switch on the thermostat; move the switch into the "Auto" position. Move the "Cool/Off/Heat/Em" switch into the appropriate position for the current season.
- 7). Press the "Prog/Man" button repeatedly until the "Prog" indicator on the display screen lights up; the thermostat will now operate according to the programmed schedule.
