    • In 2005, the Jeep Unlimited Rubicon drew power from a 4.0-liter, in-line six-cylinder engine that had sequential multi-port fuel injection. Its bore and stroke measured 3.9 by 3.4 inches and it had a compression ratio of 8.8-to-1. This engine generated 190 horsepower at 4,600 rpm and 235 foot-pounds of torque at 3,200 rpm. Jeep coupled this engine to a standard six-speed manual transmission. Buyers could upgrade the transmission to a four-speed automatic with overdrive.

    Dimensions

    • The 2005 Unlimited Rubicon's 103.4-inch wheelbase increased this model's overall length to 167 inches, compared to the 156.1-inch length of the Rubicon. This model had a minimum ground clearance of 8.3 inches and a maximum ground clearance of 9.2 inches. It stood 72.1 inches in height and had an overall width of 68.2 inches. The 2005 Unlimited Rubicon sat four people in cloth-covered front bucket and rear-bench seats. It offered 29.5 cubic feet of cargo space or up to 43 cubic feet of room with the rear seat folded down. Jeep equipped the Unlimited Rubicon with 16-inch wheels that took size LT245/75SR16 tires.
