Anti Cellulite Diet

Cellulite is the accumulation of proteins, fat and toxins on the superficial layers of the skin surface.
This deposition is mostly concentrated in the pelvic, thighs and abdominal regions of the body.
Diet plays a crucial role in preventing the formation of cellulite.
• Carbohydrates: These are responsible for giving the body the much-needed energy it requires for carrying out every single reaction and metabolism.
The type of carbohydrates consumed in your diet play a crucial role in preventing or aggravating cellulite formation.
Whole-wheat products, foods having a low glycemic index (GI) and unrefined unprocessed foods can be consumed.
Avoid refined food products, refined flour, high GI foods like pizzas, white pastas, etc.
• Proteins: A moderate consumption of proteins is crucial for tissue growth and maintenance.
Lean meat, poultry without skin and fish can be consumed.
Avoid red meat and organ meat.
• Vitamins and Minerals: These nutrients are essential in detoxifying the body and removing free radicals.
They are very effective in expelling toxins.
Consume liberal servings of raw fruits and vegetables in the form of salad.
Consume whole fruits instead of fruit juices.
Remember to eat them as soon as you cut them.
Do not leave them in the open or refrigerate them because there are high chances of vitamins being oxidized and being deactivated when exposed.
• Fat: It is advisable to use olive oil for cooking.
Avoid using butter, cheese and other saturated sources of fat.
Green olive oil is superior to golden oil and is therefore recommended.
• Water: It is mandatory to consume sufficient quantities of water.
At least one to 1½ liters of water is essential to get rid of toxins and improve body's overall metabolism.
