Unfortunately, Jared has a major problem because everyone in Llanview knows what a terrible thing he did to the Buchanans and how everything led to them losing the company and to Nash’s death, so it is not easy for Jared to get people to believe that Natalie’s letter is a fake and that she never would have left him like that. Jared doesn’t command much sympathy. Rex doesn’t believe Jared; he just thinks Natalie dumped him and wanted to get away.
Roxy, on the other hand, is worried about Natalie. Rex has too much on his mind to take Jared seriously anyway. At least John, (who doesn’t like Jared at all and probably thinks Natalie would be smart to dump him) knows Natalie well enough to know that the letter wasn’t really something she would write and that she just might be in trouble. John can’t do anything about Jared’s fear that Natalie was kidnapped, but knowing John and knowing how well he knows Natalie, he will be worried about her. Hopefully, John and Bo will figure things out before too long, even though John has a lot on his plate and Bo will need to keep an eye on Clint. I wonder how much time Bo will spend on B.E. business now that he has his job back as commissioner. This is just the opportunity for Clint to run wild and do his dirty work behind Bo’s back.
I wonder when Natalie will give up talking to that television screen. It’s pretty annoying since they can’t hear a word she’s saying. I guess she so totally frustrated about being locked up that she has to let it out somehow.
Who could blame her? Just dealing with Tess’s taunting behavior is enough to make anyone scream and throw things. Now Tess has let Natalie know that she will eventually make a play for Jared with Natalie watching. Oh goodie, that will be lots or fun to watch. I also wonder how long Tina will be able to keep quiet about what Tess is up to. Bo has already questioned her and has discussed his concern over Jessica and her DID. Once Carlo is out of the picture, what will Tess hold over Tina’s head to keep her quiet?
And are we do believe that Tess was so careless that she dropped a key to the basement right there on the kitchen floor. Of course Tina feels so guilty about Natalie that she sees this as a perfect opportunity to slip the key to Jared when he wonders why the dog is scratching at the basement door. There’s no way that Jared will find Natalie so soon. We just couldn’t be that lucky. I guess all he’ll find is the shelf of canned goods hiding the secret room. Drats!
Boy, Tess sure hit Todd where it hurts, didn’t she? I do love the fact that she’s not afraid to back him up against the wall, but I still don’t think she’s any match for him. Nevertheless, she really hit the nail on the head when she accused him of being in love with Marty and saying that he believes that if the woman he raped can fall for him, then it would make him think he’s not such a bad guy. That’s exactly the way a sick person like Todd would think. Hey, the heck with sending Todd to a shrink; Tess has his number 100%!
What is really awful is that Todd just about knows for sure that Tess has Natalie locked in that basement and so far he has chosen not to do anything about it. I guess Natalie’s welfare is inconsequential compared to his master plan for Marty, at least until he finds a way to expose Tess and protect himself.
I wouldn’t wish Starr’s first day of school on my worst enemy. It was horrible the way she was treated by the other students and it was pretty brave of her to get up in front of the assembly and tell everyone that it’s not a fun thing that happened to her and that if they want to avoid the same situation they should use protection. I guess the principal didn’t care for her speech because she was called off the stage and her microphone was unplugged. It is going to be interesting to see how they handle a young woman in school who is seven months pregnant.
Gee, it wasn’t fun watching Brody lose his cool when he had that nightmare and attacked Shane when he came to wake him up. Shane loves him so much he covered for him, saying Brody was just showing him some moves. Oh boy. I feel sorry for Shane and all he’s about to go through. Gigi has had all of Brody that she’s going to take and after Shane insists on Brody taking him to school, Gigi tells Brody to pack his bags and find a place to live. This confrontation comes right on the heels of Gigi’s visit from Marcie, which finally convinced her to make the decision to tell Shane the truth with Rex that day. Brody is furious and then to top it all off, Adriana calls him after Rex informed her that he wants a divorce. Adriana takes it all out on Brody, accusing him of ruining everything by not doing what he was brought to Llanview to do. That set off Brody’s last fuse and he started ripping up the carriage house. Gee, poor Viki sure has a lot of garbage to come home to. She might want to just turn around and head back to Africa. Who could blame her?
