It looks like another Salem romance is about to hit the skids. This week, Days of Our Lives' Nicole exposes Serena as a big fat liar. And it gets worse. It turns out Eric's girlfriend is a jewel thief.

Poor Eric, who has an abysmal track record when it comes dating, has started to think he's found the perfect woman in Serena. Since his ex showed up in town and they rekindled their romance, he's become a believer in love again.

Serena has said and done all the right things. In fact, this week she proclaims her feelings for Eric with a sweet kiss and a declaration. "I love you so much," Serena tells him, while the twosome are out together. 

Too bad Eric is about to find out his perfect woman is perfectly criminal.

Nicole gives him his first clue, when she finds Eric at TBD, sits down at his table, and starts rattling off information about Serena and her obsession with the elephant statue. "That  woman is lying to you," Nicole boldly announces.

Will Eric believe her? Or will he chalk her words up to Nicole being Nicole and just looking for a new way to discredit his new girlfriend. 

Later, however, Eric walks in on Serena in the middle of "business" deal with one of her shady cohorts, now that she finally got her hands on what she's been so desperate to attain: a bag of precious jewels that were hidden inside the elephant statue.

"You have the diamonds?" questions the man.

Just as the deal is about to be completed and the man is about to leave, Eric turns up at Serena's hotel room door.

The two come face to face and a stunned Serena is left to explain exactly what's going on. 

Will Serena spin another story? Will Eric fall for it? Or will she finally come clean with Eric about the real reason she tracked him down in Salem?
