How to Buy Wedding Flowers Online

    • 1). Determine your budget for flowers and the number of bouquets and arrangements that you want to purchase. Be sure to think about flowers for the reception site.

    • 2). Decide if you want to order flowers already assembled for the wedding or if you want to purchase bulk flowers and assemble the bouquets. If you want to do it yourself, be sure to think about time, workspace and expertise.

    • 3). Research and determine which online florists to use. Many online florists currently offer wedding flowers. Several popular online wedding florists are ProFlowers and Fifty Flowers. Before you choose the florist, check with them to make sure they can accommodate your wedding date and that their flowers meet your needs. Be sure to ask about their shipping and delivery process. Several online florists provide floral consultants to work with each bride throughout the wedding process.

    • 4). Order the flowers. You will need a shipping address and a credit card. Be sure to make sure that someone will be available at the address to accept the flowers on the deliver date. If you are purchasing assembled bouquets, be sure to select the ribbon style.

    • 5). Prepare for the delivery of the flowers. Make sure that you have an area to store the flowers when they arrive. You will need to immediately put them into water and keep them in a cool room. If you are going to be assembling the bouquets yourself, gather all tools and supplies that you need. Be sure to purchase enough ribbon to ties the bouquets. You should also prepare the work area ahead of time.

    • 6). Accept the delivery of your wedding flowers. Your flowers may look droopy and thirsty when they arrive. Follow the florists directions for storage and water. Verify that your order is correct and that you received all flowers. If you have any issues or questions, contact the online florist immediately.

    • 7). Prepare the flowers for the wedding. If you are assembling the flowers yourself, be sure to check out the DIY tutorial on Fifty Flowers.

    • 8). Enjoy your wedding. Be sure to take lots of pictures of your flowers.
