- 1). Speak to a Slayer Master who is appropriate for your level. Slayer Masters are indicated with a white skull icon on the map. These masters are located in different cities across the world and provide tasks based on your combat and Slayer abilities. To begin leveling your Slayer skill, speak with Slayer Master Turael, who is located in Burthorpe.
- 2). Confirm the Slayer assignment provided by the Slayer Master. This assignment will instruct you to find and defeat a certain number of a specific type of monster. The exact assignment you receive will be random each time, but it will be within your level range.
- 3). Locate and defeat the type of monster as instructed in the Slayer assignment to gain experience for the Slayer skill. While you are on a Slayer assignment, you will only earn experience for defeating that specific monster.
- 4). Left-click the “Enchanted Gem” item in your inventory and select "How am I doing so far?" This will provide you with information on the type of monsters you are assigned to defeat and how many more you must defeat to finish your task. If you lose your “Enchanted Gem” item, you can purchase another one from any Slayer Master in the game for 1 gold.
- 5). Return to the Slayer Master and talk to the master once you have completed your task. You can then obtain another task and continue to work up your Slayer skill.
