- 1). Measure the height of the statue using a measure tape.
- 2). Double the measurement found in Step 1.
- 3). Cut a square of plain purple fabric using the measurement you found in Step 2 for the measurement of one side. If the measurement is too large for one piece of fabric, stitch together strips of fabric until you have a square large enough.
- 4). Center the fabric over the statue's head, and allow the fabric to drape down to the statue's base.
- 5). Unveil the statue on Good Friday or the end of Lent.
