- 1). Connect the antenna lead, ground cable and the electrical connectors for the speakers to the radio at its rear end. This may require an adapter plug depending on the type of radio and the year of the Jeep.
- 2). Insert the radio unit into its support bracket if needed and then slide it into position within the instrument panel.
- 3). Connect the center trim panel bezel over the radio using the four clips at the bottom end of the bezel and the two screws at the top with your screwdriver.
- 4). Attach the dashboard's thin upper trim panel with its five clips; this panel will cover the center bezel's screws.
- 5). Connect the car's power supply be reconnecting the battery's negative cable. If the battery was completely disconnected, connect the positive cable first and then the negative one.
- 6). Open the Jeep's fuse box if you just installed an "Req" or "Ret" type radio and pull up the J13 fuse into its pre-stage position.
- 7). Wait a few seconds and then push the fuse back down until it is fully seated. This will switch the radio out of is "transportation mode," allowing it to operate.
