- 1). Dress your child in layers of black clothing. Garments do not need to be all one size, as mismatched clothing suits the goth look. Rip and tear some of the clothing for a haggard, well-worn look.
- 2). Accessorize with dark colors to add a dash of glam to the costume. Black lace frills, dark red hair accessories or a deep purple belt lend color to the costume without sacrificing gothic attitude.
- 3). Paint your child's face with white costume makeup to make it pale, then apply purple blush to the cheekbones for an otherworldly complexion.
- 4). Apply black lipstick to your child's lips and draw a thick layer of eyeliner around the eyes.
- 5). Work a generous glob of hair gel into your palms and massage it through your child's hair. Make it stick up and out at uneven angles.
