- For a grown-up take on a sleepover, hold a kegs and eggs party for your sorority and another house. Invite guests to come in their favorite pajamas; this gives the opportunity for people to be as suggestive or as innocent as they want. Start the party late and have people stay up all night or spend the night in sleeping bags on your common room floors. In the morning, host a morning-after brunch with eggs, pancakes, and mimosas. This type of party can be a way to bond with another sorority or host male guests.
- For a fun, glowing evening, hold a black light party. Designate several rooms as the party space and make them as dark and black as possible. Cover windows with black paper, use black table cloths, and cover furniture with black blankets or sheets. Then, replace all of your lights with black lights -- the more the better. Ask guests to wear their best white and neon outfits, which will stand out under the black lights. You can also hand out glow sticks and neon body paint to add to the fun.
- For an entertaining and creative party, hold an Anything But Clothes (ABC) party for your sorority. Guests can come in anything they want, as long as it isn't clothing. Encourage people to use a range of materials to construct their outfits, from garbage bags to cardboard and tape. Put together some awards for the people who have the most interesting costumes, the skimpiest, the most creative, and the most like real clothing.
- If you want to throw an afternoon party or a party with food, use a South of the Border theme. Decorate the house and yard in brightly colored streamers and put up a pinata for guests to take a swing at. Play Mexican mariachi music and Spanish-language pop and serve Mexican food that is easy to eat with your hands; tacos, nachos, guacamole and salsa are crowd pleasers. Encourage people to wear their most outrageous outfits, from full Mexican ponchos and sombreros to over-the-top tourist gear seen on people across Mexico.
