- 1). Open Microsoft Word on your computer.
- 2). Click the "Office Button" icon located at the left side of the Microsoft Word screen.
- 3). Click the "Word Options" button at the bottom of the menu.
- 4). Select "Add-ins," located in the left panel of the Word Options screen.
- 5). Select "COM Addin-ins" from the Manage drop-down menu at the bottom of the Word Options window.
- 6). Click the "Go" button located next to the Manage drop-down menu. The COM Add-ins window appears.
- 7). Clear the "Microsoft Office Live Add-in" check box.
- 8). Click the "OK" button.
