- Two friends, Mike Becker and Jordan Olson, started the Mustang Speed Kingz car club of Wisconsin in July 2007. They shared a common passion for the iconic Ford pony car, the Mustang.
- The club is open to all Mustang fans from Wisconsin as well as bordering regions of Minnesota and Illinois. Each member gets a club identity card. Unlike most other Mustang car clubs in the US that charge annual membership dues, the Mustang Speed Kingz club offers free membership. Even those who are just diehard Mustang fans and don't own Mustangs are welcome as members.
- The Mustang Speed Kingz club features many Mustang coupes and convertibles from among its owner-members. Some are collection cars such as the 1969-70 Boss Mustang, 1965-70 Shelby high-performance GT 350 Mustang and the revered 8th generation Cobra Mustang versions. Mike Becker, the club co-founder, is proud to own a second-hand 2004 Ford Mustang with a Stock V-6 engine. Repainted in a copper shade and performance-enhanced with Vortec supercharger motor upgrade installations, this car is an eighth-generation Mustang model, commemorative of the make's Fortieth Anniversary.
- The Mustang Speed Kingz members attend local Mustang car shows together, racing on their Mustangs with each other or with other American Mustang club members.
They go on Mustang-themed cruises, lake boating trips and beach parties; they discuss Mustang history and the latest Mustang cars over late night barbecues. The Mustang Speed Kingz Club conducts its Mustang events during summers only. - The Mustang Speed Kingz club that had a modest membership of 20 in 2008 has grown at a fast pace over three years and has over 102 members as of February 2011. The popularity of the Club may be attributable to its club spirit. It encourages each member to be a leader, actively contributing new ideas for club growth and sharing Mustang information with fellow members.
The club intends to add more activities to their long summer events list and distribute special club T-shirts to members. Currently an offline community, they also plan to develop a new website.
