- 1). Turn off the ProHeat carpet cleaner and unplug it from the outlet. Remove the water tank and solution tank.
- 2). Unscrew the front nozzle from the base of the ProHeat appliance using a Phillips-head screwdriver. After removing the front nozzle, turn the machine on its side.
- 3). Use a Phillips-head screwdriver to unscrew two black screws on the clear end-cap on the side of the ProHeat appliance. Remove the clear end cap by lifting it off the machine. Remove one silver screw located under the clear end cap. Put the screws in a safe place for reassembly.
- 4). Gently lift the pivot arm off the machine. The pivot arm is a small, plastic piece on the side of the brush bars. Put the pivot arm in a safe place for reassembly.
- 5). Remove the brush rolls from the machine by lifting them off the metal rods attaching them.
