- 1). Insert all your data points into Minitab as you normally would. Make sure to separate each data point with the appropriate in-set punctuation (comma, colon, etc.).
- 2). Go to the top menu and select "Calc" followed by "Standardize." Then select "Input Columns" and input the data set. You can select it directly from your variable set.
- 3). Move your cursor to the "Store results in" and choose "Z-scores" from the drop-down list of variables. Then click "Select," followed by "Z-scores." A new "Z-scores" column will appear.
- 4). Select "Subtract mean and divide by std. dev." and then click OK. The "Z-scores" column will now populate with z-scores that correspond to raw scores.
