- 1). Watch and enjoy the blooms of the campanula plant so that you will know when the plant is finished with the first bloom of the summer.
- 2). Use the pruning shears to cut back the stems by approximately half of their length. This will tidy the appearance of the campanula plant and encourage it to put forth a burst of bushy growth. Cut the stems at any point.
- 3). Deadhead this second bloom if you wish; however, do not perform a second severe pruning because you do not want to encourage the plant to put forth another burst of growth just prior to the end of the growing season.
