Girls, are you having problems trying to decide what to be this Halloween? Are you tired of recycling the same costumes from five years ago? The sultry world of burlesque awaits! The beauty of burlesque is that it offers us the chance to celebrate our bodies without shame.
It doesn't matter if we are big or small, short or tall.
Burlesque has it all.
Burlesque is an ageless performance art that connects with both men and women.
And Halloween is the perfect time of year to try some costumes out.
I have been scouring the Internet over the past week and found some really cool Halloween costumes and accessories for my outfit this year.
I've found everything from a Victorian Burlesque Vampiress to a vintage burlesque performance dress that cost over five hundred dollars.
But the average Halloween burlesque costume is quite affordable; most range from forty to one hundred dollars.
Not bad, especially if I decide to wear it on a few occasions besides Halloween! My favorite so far is a Halloween burlesque costumes that most of the big online retailers are selling this year.
It features a dramatic cascading dress with luscious layers of black organza and satin with pink trim and an attached pink velvet bodice with sheer black polka-dotted overlay, ruffle trim along the neckline and dainty black bow details down the center.
Some of my other favorites are the burlesque dancer costume (but not too sure I have the body type for that one) and the sexy Gretchen outfit: I've always fantasized about the idea of being a Swiss mountain girl or a Beer Garden girl.
Anyway, with October 31 approaching fast, I think I'm going to go with the burlesque costume.
I hope you all find something new and original for this year's Halloween!
