Best Wedding Entrance What You Need to Plan a Wedding
Much has to prepare before the wedding day. A lot of things to consider as well from the people who will be attending, to the venue of the ceremony and the reception but it still boils down to they day where you walk down the aisle and experience one of the best days of your life. But how will you ever make a good entrance? Is it something that you will consider the least and prioritize what is being seen on the ceremony itself? Or maybe ignore it and consider more on the color theme if the wedding; the dresses and decorations?
For me, this is one of the most important section on the wedding ceremony. Some people will even consider rules on what to where, where to sit, when to dance and what to say during the entrance ceremony. Even though you would want to make your wedding day as unique as possible, there are still rituals and customs that you might want to consider still during the ceremony. These customs vary by region, but the typical Christian ceremony is fairly standard everywhere.
It's a best practice that after all the guests have been seated, the mother of the groom is escorted to her seat in the front right portion. The father of the groom follows his wife and her escort takes his seat next to her. The mother of the bride however will be escorted to the front left pew. Normally, after all of them are seated, the processional music begins. It will then give the officiant the signal to enter the place and be on the altar facing the audience. The groom and the best man will then enter at the same time, normally on the same side door. They will head over to the altar facing the audience, with the best man standing on the groom's left. If the groomsmen are not the usher, then they may enter with the groom. They also have the option to escort the bridesmaids up the aisle, but will be standing in line to the left of the best man. The bridesmaids, whether escorted or not, enters one at a time, normally a gap according to the length of the aisle and the procession. The bridesmaid will stand the farthest from the bride's corner on the same row opposite to the groomsmen. The ring bearer and the flower girl then enters and proceed up the aisle and separate at the altar where they may either stand with the wedding party or some of them might join their parents in their pews.
The maid of honor then walks up the aisle, usually unescorted and takes her position at the head of the bridesmaids, ready to receive the bride's bouquet when she enters. The bride and her father follows next with the father on the left side of the bride. The father also has the option to stand on her side until he gives her to the groom, if not, then he leaves her at the altar and joins the mother on the left front pew. However, if he bride decides to walk down the isle unescorted, then her father follows up her mother down the aisle when she is seated in the same manner as the father of the groom.
Very basic procedure actually but the decision is still the same if this tradition will be followed or not depending on the wedding theme.
