- 1). Start Microsoft Publisher 2007 and open an existing publication from your files that contains a text box that you want to move to another location within the publication.
- 2). Choose the "Select Objects" tool from the Standard toolbar. The "Select Objects" button is the top button on the toolbar represented by a white mouse cursor.
- 3). Click to select the text box you want to move. White sizing handles surrounding the text box indicate the selection.
- 4). Hover the mouse cursor over one edge of the text box. Your mouse cursor will become a four-sided arrow.
- 5). Click with your mouse when you see the four-sided arrow and hold down the mouse button as you drag to take the text box to its new location.
- 6). Release the mouse button when you are happy with the new location of the text box.
