- 1). Remove frozen lobster tails from the freezer and place them into the refrigerator to thaw before cooking. Allow the lobster tails to thaw for between eight and 10 hours for best results.
- 2). Fill a 2 qt. stockpot about two-thirds full of water and add 1 to 2 tsp. of salt.
- 3). Boil the water.
- 4). Drop the thawed lobster tails into the water.
- 5). Boil the lobster tails for one minute per ounce of weight. For example, if the total lobster tail weight is 12 oz., boil them for 12 minutes.
- 6). Lift out the boiled lobster tails with the tongs and serve them immediately with lemon juice and hot butter.
