- After nearly a 20-year absence from production, the Dodge Charger returned to the assembly line for the 2006 model year, combining an old-school muscle car look and feel with a four-door, everyday-driving design. In 2007, Chrysler continued building the Dodge Charger in seven model varieties: the SE, SXT, SXT AWD, Road Track (R/T), R/T AWD, Daytona R/T, and the SRT8. Models came equipped in rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.
