I was speaking at a seminar in Central London the other day and afterwards a gentleman walked up to me and asked, "Dayo, how can I find my purpose?" For the purpose of this write up I will use myself as an example and tell you how I found My Purpose.
Discovering your purpose in life is something you must do.
Knowing what to pursue gives your life purpose.
Do you really know what your purpose is? Why not? Which of these do you think will serve you better, to wander through life without direction or meaning, or to pick something worthwhile you get excitement from and then pursue it? These were my thoughts initially.
Personally, I have 4 purposes that I think about all the time.
The first is improving my personal relationship with my God, my family and my fellow human beings.
Second, to make a positive difference in the lives of the people I meet, and if possible the people that I have never met.
Third, to align myself with the people who will enable me make a difference in the world.
Finally, to keep fit spiritually, physically, intellectually and emotionally.
With these purposes, I am able to achieve the goals I set.
My mission is "to motivate and inspire 100,000 people and/or organisations per year to higher levels of achievement, and peak performance by providing information, tips, tools and strategies through speaking, seminar, writing, training, mentoring and coaching" In discovering my purpose, I was introduced to a process by Mark Edward Duin, founder of http://www.
duinit.
com, and this I will like to share with you.
It involved answering six questions which answers revealed to me what I wanted to do in life.
Listed below is a real life example of this process.
