Easy Couple's Costume Ideas

Halloween isn't just about little kids dressed as princesses and goblins walking from house to house asking for candy. It has become just as popular for adults, who often dress up and go to parties or out on the town. There are plenty of costume ideas for couples so that the two of you can match. Get creative and consider your likes and interests as a couple.

Cowboy and Saloon Girl

The man can dress up as a cowboy, with jeans, a cowboy hat, boots and a cowboy shirt. Add a fake gun, holster and spurs from a costume shop. The woman can get a saloon girl dress from a costume shop. It should have fringe and lace. She can wear high-heeled boots and have on plenty of makeup. If the woman doesn't want to dress up as a saloon girl, she could always go as a cowgirl.

This costume choice is easy for the man. He can simply wear silk pajamas with a silk robe and bedroom slippers. Add a tobacco pipe, a glass of scotch and a gray wig for extra effect. The female part of the couple can easily find a bunny outfit at a costume shop. They normally look like strapless one-piece bathing suits. Wear fishnet hose with heels and a bunny tail and ears to complete the look.

The woman dresses as a butterfly, either finding a butterfly costume at a costume shop or making one. A green or brown sweatsuit, a pair of wings and an antennae would work. The man wears khaki shorts and shirt, safari hat and boots, and carries a big net.

Dress as the 1970s and 1980s singing duo. The man can wear suit pants with a brightly-colored floral shirt and a captain's hat. Add a mustache for the complete look. The woman should wear a retro 70s or 80s dress and hair to match. Carry a mustache for effect.

This is an easy costume that's sure to get some laughs, and you can probably make it with items you already have around your home. The man wears regular clothes, except he writes a capital "E" on the chest of his shirt, making him an e-mail. The woman also wears regular clothes, but puts paper clips all over them, making her his attachment.
