Ford Trimming Specs

    • The Ford Motor Car Company has designed a variety of trim specifications and levels of elegance for their vehicles, allowing a single automobile body style to come in several price and option levels. Each of these trim specifications changes basically every year, and with every different model of vehicle that is being offered. For example, for 2010, the Ford trimming specifications for the SUV/sedan Ford Edge crossover vehicle have been broken down into four possible trim specs.

    2010 Ford Edge SE

    • The lowest trim level available for the 2010 Ford Edge is the SE Sport Utility Trim level. This level provides the base 3.5-liter V-6 engine, along with power windows, power door locks, a factory standard stereo system, power brakes, an onboard tire pressure monitoring system, and a selection of different paint colors and two-tone paint schemes. This trim level has a base price of $26,920 and is considered to be the "entry level" Ford Edge trimming option for the 2010 models.

    2010 Ford Edge SEL

    • The SEL Sport Utility trim level is the mid-grade 2010 Ford trimming option for the Edge sport utility vehicle. This option includes upgraded stereo equipment, antilock brakes, more attractive wheel and tire options, and the same standard tire pressure monitoring system and paint color and paint scheme options as the SE Sport Utility Trim. The higher Ford trimming level has historically always included the same options as the lower trim level, with additional options on top of that. This Ford trimming option costs $29,920 before any dealer add-ons or transport fees, and comes in right around the center of the pricing structure for these models.

2010 Ford Edge Limited Sport Utility

    • The Limited Sport Utility Trimming option for the 2010 Ford Edge is the highest standard trimming option available from Ford for the 2010 Ford Edge SUV. This option begins at a $32,720 base price, and includes all of the options on the SE and SEL Sport Utility Trim levels, with other additional options available, and Limited badging that makes the vehicle appear more unique and special. This option includes the same 3.5-liter V-6 engine as the previous two options, and for the most part, except for the leather interior appointments, may be hard to tell apart from the other trimming options.
