- 1). Turn off the dishwasher.
- 2). Remove the chrome cover from your air gap, which protrudes a couple inches above the rim of the sink.
- 3). Pull up to remove the plastic cap.
- 4). Clean any debris off the air gap with a toothpick. Put the plastic cap and the chrome cover back in place and turn the dishwasher back on. The GE Profile dishwasher now should drain.
