- 1). Start OpenOffice.org Impress or the OpenOffice.org application that contains your file.
- 2). Select "File" and "Open" from the menu. The Open dialog box appears. Double-click the file you want to modify and it will load in the application.
- 3). Go to the slide or page where the arched text will go.
- 4). Select "View," "Toolbars" and "Drawing" from the menu. The Drawing toolbar displays in the bottom pane.
- 5). Click the "FontWork Gallery" button in the Drawing toolbar. You are directed to the FontWork Gallery.
- 6). Double-click the arched text style you want to use. It is added to your slide or page.
- 7). Go to the Styles and Formatting toolbar. Pick a text style and color from the "Area Style/Filling" drop-down menu. Select a text outline color from the "Line Color" drop-down list.
- 8). Double-click the arched text on your page. A "FontWork" text box appears above the arched text. Type in your text for the arch and press the "Escape" key.
