- 1). Unplug the power cord of the LG washer model 6322Fr2046c from the electrical outlet before attempting to replace the thermistor. Turn off the water supply at the shut off valves behind the washer, and remove the hoses from the washer with an adjustable wrench.
- 2). Loosen the screws on the back of the top cover with a Phillips screwdriver. Flip the top cover backward to remove the cover. Detach the display assembly connector, and slide the drawer out of the control panel assembly.
- 3). Unfasten the screws on the control panel assembly on the front panel of the washer at the top, and disassemble the display assembly that sits behind the control panel assembly. Unplug the sensor switch assembly, and take the protective cover off the assembly. The sensor switch assembly sits on the inside of the washer front panel, directly behind the control panel at the top of the panel.
- 4). Detach the electrical connector on the sensor switch assembly, and unfasten the four screws on the top of the front cover with the Phillips screwdriver. Loosen the screws on the filter cover with the Phillips screwdriver. Slide the filter cover out by prying it out on the side with a putty knife.
- 5). Unfasten the screw on the cabinet cover behind the filter cover with the Phillips screwdriver, and open the washer door. Remove the clamp assembly on the bottom of the door frame, and tilt the cabinet cover forward.
- 6). Unplug the door switch connector from the back of the front panel, and remove the cabinet cover from the washer. Locate the thermistor, which is attached to the heater, and unplug the electrical wire connector from the metal prongs on the thermistor.
- 7). Remove the screws that fasten the thermistor to the heater with the Phillips screwdriver, and discard the part.
- 1). Attach the new thermistor to the heater with screws, and plug the electrical wire connector onto the metal prongs. Plug the door switch connector onto the back of the front panel, and set the front panel against the washer cabinet.
- 2). Fasten the clamp assembly to the bottom of the door frame, and close the washer door. Fasten the screw on the cabinet cover behind the filter cover, and slide the filter cover onto the washer cabinet.
- 3). Secure the filter cover onto the cabinet with screws, and attach the four screws on the top of the front cover. Attach the electrical connector to the sensor switch assembly, and plug the switch assembly into the washer panel.
- 4). Place the cover back on the sensor switch assembly, and attach the display assembly. Secure the control panel assembly to the washer with screws, and slide the drawer into the control panel assembly.
- 5). Attach the display assembly connector, and place the top cover back on the top of the washer. Secure the top cover with screws in the back, and fasten the water hoses to the outlets on the back of the washer.
- 6). Turn the water supply shut off valves back on, and plug the LG 6322Fr2046c washer power cord into the electrical outlet.
