Using a paint brush, apply glue to half of an egg and sprinkle it with glitter. Wait for it to dry and apply glue to the other half of the egg and sprinkle it as well. This allows for holding the egg without getting glue and glitter all over the decorator. Paint or dye the egg with a color first and let it dry to give it a richer design. - Dye or paint the egg and let it dry. Cut out small pictures from wrapping paper or magazines. Apply a thin layer of white glue to the egg in the area where the picture will be placed. Place these pictures on the egg and apply more glue right over the right side of the picture. Smooth any lumps while painting on the glue. Let the glue dry. Seal the egg by applying a clear polyurethane spray or brush on varnish.
- Dip a brush into water and brush the egg. Immediately apply pieces of colored crepe or tissue paper to the egg and smooth them down. When the water dries, the paper will fall off, but the egg will retain the color of the paper.
