- 1). Sign up for a standard online fax service that allows you to click "File," then "Print" to send a fax from your browser or email program. See the Resources section for a list of options. Install the print driver or software to your computer.
- 2). Open the cell phone text message that you want to send as a fax message.
- 3). Select "Forward As Email" or the similar option on your cell phone. Type in your email address to send the message to your email account.
- 4). Open the cell phone message in your email account and place your cursor inside of the frame that contains the message you want to fax.
- 5). Click "File," then "Print" on the main menu and choose the fax tool from the list of printers. Enter your recipient's fax number and send.
- 1). Sign up for an account with an "email-to-fax" service. These services allow you to compose an email and send it off as a fax to any recipient using Microsoft Outlook or a similar email program. Install the software to your computer and configure your email account according to the service's specific instructions.
- 2). Open the message you want to fax and click "Forward as Email" or the similar option. Send it to your email address and then copy and paste the text to word processing or text program (such as Notepad).
- 3). Compose the message to the recipient in the format your email-to-fax service requires. For example, with many services you'll have to type in the recipient's fax number with the country code then the "@" sign and finally the web server of the fax service (such as sendmyfax.com).
- 4). Attach the text document to the email, type in a subject line and click "Send." Some services allow you to send a cover letter by typing a message into the email message text area. In this case, you can also paste the text message itself into the message area as an alternative to adding the attachment.
