- 1). Keep your BlackBerry battery charged. A low battery will decrease your cell phone reception.
- 2). Stay away from areas that have a lot of trees or power lines. These will decrease your cell phone reception and will not allow you to receive or make calls.
- 3). Use a Bluetooth headset while moving the phone around and checking the bar status in the upper right-hand side of your BlackBerry's screen.
- 4). Use a plastic or rubber case to protect your BlackBerry. Metal cases will drain cell phone reception.
- 5). Buy a cell phone reception booster for an internal or external antenna. These products are designed to increase your cell phone's reception. They are usually installed under or beside your battery.
- 6). Switch your mobile carrier as a last resort. Not all cell phone carriers are prominent in every area of the country. Some cell phone providers are more prominent in the Southeast and Midwest, whereas others are more common in the West and the Northeast.
