  When you are running a business, you are constantly seeking new clients and new projects. While your business website may be getting traffic and your business cards may be running out, it is time to get creative to bring clients in. Forget about the cold calling approaches or sending random emails to potential clients. You need to focus on building a brand, so people recognize your name, skills and expertise. If people recognize your name over your competitors, you are more likely to get the clients.
  
  

Networking

• Attend local events, press release parties and charity events to make a social presence. Even though the events may not relate to your profession, you are making yourself known in the community. Make sure that you introduce yourself to as many people as possible and share your contact information. You do not have to focus on making a business deal, but focus on making contacts at the events, as many prominent and locally known people attend charity events.
  
  

Present a Seminar

• Start holding seminars at your local library or convention center to share your knowledge and expertise with a curious and interested audience. You can brand yourself by sharing your experience in the given industry. When you are having a seminar, provide the audience with your business card, brochures about your business and success stories about your business. If the audience enjoys your seminar, they will share their experiences with other people and your name will start spreading.
  
  

Write a Book

• Attract new clients by sharing your expertise in the field by writing a book about your work and the industry. In the book, share your knowledge about the industry and the importance of the products or services you provide. For example, if you are in marketing, you should focus the book on why marketing is important for a business and explain the different methods of marketing a business, service or products. You do not want to give away all of the answers in your book, so readers do not need your services, but write enough information to intrigue them and persuade them to contact you.
  
  

Create an Online Presence

• Create social media accounts, such as Twitter and Facebook. There are both entrepreneurs and business people on social media websites with the goal of networking and promoting products, services and businesses. You can create an online presence by updating your Facebook and Twitter accounts daily with promotions, deals or discounts.
