- Flip effects can take standard HTML content and rotate it along a 3-D axis to show its other side. Examples of 3-D flip effects include the "Rotate 3-Di" script and the "Flip!" script. Two sides of the object must first be coded using cascading style sheets. The JavaScript will then take the two sides and create an animation that appears as if it is flipping one side of the content over to another.
- A 3-D image cube can be created using the jQuery image cube script. With this script, you can create a cube with an image on each one of its sides. This cube can then be rotated around to reveal various images. In order to use this script, URL paths must be provided for each one of the images used. By default, the script will automatically rotate the cube to a new side every two seconds.
- A carousel effect will show a 3-D map of several objects, which can be rotated between. Examples of this include the 3D Image Carousel script and the Cloud Carousel script. A carousel effect is useful if you wish to dynamically show different pages of your site or to show several examples of your portfolio at once. The carousel may either rotate randomly or be controlled by the user.
- Text can also be configured in a way that is similar to the Carousel effect with scripts, such as 3-D Tag Cloud or 3-D Rotating Text. A text effect will typically take a cloud of text, or several lines of text that reflect your content, and show them in a vertical 3-D carousel. These can be rotated through automatically based on a time interval or be controlled by the user.
