Chicken Salad Recipes: Grape Pecan Grilled Chicken Salad

Summertime is just around the corner.
Are you getting ready for the warmer weather and getting back out into the great outdoors with all the different summertime activities you enjoy? Maybe you enjoy making your meals outside too.
If so, you will more than likely be interested in preparing your meals outside by grilling them.
If so, you are in great luck because there are so many great tasting dishes you can make and serve.
You can serve this grilled chicken salad as it is or you can top it with your favorite salad dressing.
You can make it any way you like to suit the preference for taste for you and your family.
You may want to add some other types of healthy and delicious salad ingredients as well such as including alfalfa sprouts or other types of bean sprouts.
Perhaps some toasted nuts, sesame seed or sunflower seeds as well and many other types of vegetables, nuts and seeds.
However, this is also a salad that you might like to make and add even more great tasting fresh and nutritious fruits.
For instance, you might add anything from bananas, apples and mandarin oranges to peaches, pears or even fresh kiwi fruit.
The sky is the limit and you can create a salad that everyone will enjoy.
Serving fresh fruit along with this dish is great.
You might want to serve some cottage cheese, crackers, or specialty breads.
Serve it with a main course and a mouthwatering dessert and you will be able to please anyone whether you are grilling at home or planning to attend a potluck dinner with family and friends.
However, when you are making a salad you can add anything you like and take away anything you do not want to include.
Recipe for Grape Pecan Grilled Chicken Salad What You Need
  • 1 pound boneless skinless grilled chicken breast
  • 1 ½ cups sour cream
  • 1 ½ cups mayonnaise
  • 2 diced celery stalks
  • 1 pound seedless green grapes
  • 1 ½ cups pecan
  • 1 cup chopped dill
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 minced garlic cloves
  • 1 teaspoon minced parsley
  • 2 packages mixed salad greens
  • Dill sprigs
How to Make It Shred or cut grilled chicken into bite size pieces and then set aside until needed.
Using a large mixing bowl you will add the sour cream, mayonnaise and diced celery stalks, mix well.
Add the shredded grilled chicken chunks and combine.
Stir in the seedless green grapes, pecans, chopped dill and salt and pepper to taste and toss to combine.
Cover the mixing bowl with a lid, clear plastic food wrap or even a dry clean kitchen towel and place in the refrigerator overnight to chill and blend the flavors of the ingredients or chill for at least 2 to 3 hours before serving.
Distribute the mixed salad greens evenly between serving plates and then add the grape pecan grilled chicken salad on top of the salad greens.
Garnish salad with the dill sprigs and serve.
