- 1). Purchase specially formulated liquid corn fertilizer with the following levels of nutrients: 4-3-3 nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P) and potassium (K)
- 2). Apply 1 to 3 gallons of the fertilizer per acre of corn when the plants are approximately 4 inches high. To apply, attach the fertilizer container to a hose or irrigation system and spray directly onto the leaves and stalks of the corn plants, thoroughly saturating them.
- 3). Reapply the liquid fertilizer when the plants reach are 18 to 24 inches high by respraying the leaves and stalks.
