- 1). Curl or perm your hair. All the Brady men wore their hair dark and curly. Prepare a wig if you can't fit this bill. It falls in between a preppy cut and long hair.
- 2). Wear a simple shirt. You can get something from a vintage shop, or choose something from your local department store that looks rather timeless, yet leaning towards the '70s. Peter did not get caught up in the trends of the time in the same way that some of his siblings did, but he often wore a polo or T-shirt. Keep it simple to keep yourself true to the Peter look.
- 3). Put on a pair of classic fit jeans. Peter wears jeans often, and he does so in the classic style. No prints or faded jeans for this guy--keep it simple and to the point.
- 4). Wear slightly platformed male flat dress shoes. Peter wasn't all formal. or obsessed with being taller. This is simply the look that makes the most sense for your costume. Fun and true to the time he grew up in, Peter is always ready to head outside and play on that astroturf lawn.
- 5). Cover up any piercings or tattoos. This character was wholesome and clean cut fun. Feel free to apply a thin smattering of freckles across your nose just like Peter's.
- 6). Watch an episode or two of "The Brady Bunch" that centered around Peter Brady. You will get in some laughs and you can practice emulating Peter. You want to have his sayings and mannerisms down before you can step out in this costume. Be an authentic Peter and bring the character to life.
