Rumors abound that General Hospital may have cast Cady McClain (ex-Kelly Andrews, The Young and the Restless; ex-Dixie Cooney, All My Children; ex-Rosanna Cabot, As the World Turns) as Spencer cousin Jenny Eckert.

Jenny was married to both Ned Ashton and to his mother Tracy's ex-husband Paul Hornsby, now played by Richard Burgi. The original Jenny was Cheryl Richardson (1991-1994, 1996).

Reasons for the rumor?

 She is a friend of Jean Passanante, one of the new head writers, with whom she worked on Another World.  And of interest, she is married to Jon Lindstrom (Kevin Collins). I'm not sure that would swing a contract, but it is a tie to the show.

The rumor has been denied by ABC.
