- 1). Move the car into a garage or other covered area, depending on the weather.
- 2). Pull the hood release lever inside the vehicle and then open the hood. Set the support bar to hold up the hood.
- 3). Disconnect the positive battery cable from the battery. Loosen the connection with the wrench and take the cable off the terminal.
- 4). Locate the stock horn that is inside the engine compartment. Typical locations for the horn are near the firewall, along the inside of a front fender or just behind the front grille.
- 5). Disconnect the power wire from the horn.
- 6). Find the bolt that is used to secure the horn to the frame. Remove the bolt with the wrench. Take the old horn out and set it aside. Set the new horn in place and tighten the bolt.
- 7). Reconnect the power wire and then reconnect the battery cable to the terminal on the battery.
