Many parents believe that tricking their children into believing in God will help them manage these children and make them be good when they are out of sight of the parents.
This is the same theory behind telling children there is a Santa Clause, which there is not.
Hate to break it to you.
The only problem with tricking your children into believing in Santa Clause is that it is a lie, which they will discover eventually and be very angry at you, you see? That is not such a good idea.
Likewise tricking children into believing in god is not without its problems.
Although it may seem like a good idea to get your children to believe in God you must realize that you maybe limiting their success in life.
Okay so you do not care about any of that, but rather wish them to fall into the same trap you did when you were indoctrinated into religion? Okay fine, if that is your wish.
Well, then here is how you do it.
Tell them of great stories in the Bible and read to them stories of Moses parting the Red Sea, no matter that is impossible and you know it.
Tell them about the baby Jesus being born to a Virgin.
Yes, you know that is impossible, but try to lie to your children with your best poker face.
Then tell your children of other stories in the bible and lie like you were trying to get out of a traffic ticket.
Consider all this in 2006.
