People today are mental misers.
Between cell phones, T.
V.
, Computers, and Radio, no one wants to read.
What a shame this truly is! In order to improve upon where you are now, you must make changes in your life.
If you want things in your life to change, you have to change things in your life.
Sounds simple, but the reality is that most people don't do it.
This is probably not only for lack of want, though, many people just feel lost or scared because they don't know how or what to do.
This is where reading comes in! In order to do new things to improve upon where you are now in life, you have to have difference in thinking.
To have a difference of thinking, you have to have a steady diet of POSITIVE information.
Reading the Twilight series ain't gonna cut it, folks! Books like How to Win Friends and Influence People is more along the right lines.
Inspiration is essential to making things happen and getting motivated.
Reading is a way of absorbing information that has taken many people a great deal of time and experience to assimilate in a relatively short period of time.
You can learn things that people have spent months, years, or even decades to learn in a matter of a couple of hours of reading! Having a flow of positive reinforcement in the form of books (or audio) will have an incredible impact on your overall attitude and sense of well-being.
Research (and everyday life experience) has shown time and time again that mental acuity and health can be improved by keeping the mind sharp through reading.
Today is a great day to turn off the nightly news and pick up a good book!
