- If you've ever been to one of these latest-and-greatest ice cream or yogurt parlors, you know that they offer a wide variety of toppings for your dish of ice cream. From peanut bits to gummy worms and everything in between, you can sprinkle your sundae with a little extra pleasure. If you're throwing your own party, crush up the Whoopers and put them in a bowl (you can first put them in a plastic bag and hit them with a meat mallet) so that your guests can enjoy the chocolate malt taste on top of their ice cream treats.
- The traditional Mud Cake is made with cookies, candy worms, chocolate pudding and whipped cream and placed in a see-through dish to look like a real garden of worms and mud. These cakes are great for children's parties. Put your own spin on this disgusting yet tasty concept by throwing in a few Whoopers. They can resemble chunks of mud within the cake, or you can crush them up to resemble dirt.
- Whoopers are an excellent ingredient in cookies. Start by preheating your oven to 350F. Combine 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour with one cup of Ovaltine. Add 1/3 cup cocoa powder, a dash of salt, and 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder. Using an electric beater, beat 1 1/2 sticks of butter together with 2/3 cup sugar. Next, add two large eggs and 1 teaspoon of vanilla and continue to beat. Put the mixer on the lowest setting and combine it with half of the dry mixture. Add 1/4 cup milk and continue to mix. Then add the remaining dry ingredient mixture. Finally, add in two cups of Whoopers by folding them into the mixture. This will make about 12 cookies. Bake them for about 12 minutes and then let them cool.
- Use full Whooper Balls to decorate and line the edges of your cake. For example, build a two or three-tiered cake and place the Whoopers around the edge where one tier meets the next. It will create a boarder that resembles a pearl necklace. Or as another option you can press the whoopers into the side and top of the cake spacing them each out about one inch from one another to create a polka-dot look. Whoopers contrast well with yellow and white frosting and fondants or you can create a uniform look against a chocolate cake.
