- 1). Run your hand against the side of the Kiddie-brand pool until you feel the moisture that indicates where the leak is located. Wipe the side of the pool where the leak is coming from, using a water-moistened paper towel to remove loose dirt and other contaminants.
- 2). Remove the caps from the two waterproof vinyl sealant tubes. Stick the end of a pin into each tube and rotate it to enlarge the hole being made. Dispose of the pin in the trash.
- 3). Place the two tubes into the syringe assembly. Place the plunger on top of the syringe assembly.
- 4). Place the tip of the syringe assembly against the pool, to one side of the tear. Press in on the plunger as you drag the tip along the length of the tear. Lift the tip off the pool once you reach the other side of the tear.
- 5). Place a strip of silicone tape over the area with sealant on it. Press on the tape to smooth it down. Repeat the procedure with the syringe assembly, only this time covering the silicone tape.
- 6). Place the edge of a wooden stir stick against the pool, to one side of the now-covered tear. Press the edge against the side of the pool as you drag it along the length of the covered tear to smooth the sealant. Lift the stick off the pool once you reach the other side of the covered tear.
- 7). Repeat this entire procedure, without the wooden stir stick, on the tear on the inside of the pool. Let the sealant set for the amount of time specified in the instructions before using the pool again.
