How Ovulation Test Is Done

If you want to get pregnant fast, you have to know when your body ovulates. Most women are only aware of the fact that fertile days are the best days to try for a baby, but they don’t know the reason behind such theories, or why they said days are when their fertility are increased, versus other days of the month. For your information, fertile days are determined based on a woman’s ovulation period. If you are a woman, ovulation is something you should be very well aware of.

What is Ovulation?

Ovulation is a process that happens in a woman’s body once a month. During this process, the ovaries release a mature egg. The egg then makes its way to the fallopian tube, where it will wait for hours to be fertilized. Once a sperm fertilizes the egg, it turns into a zygote, and pregnancy occurs. This zygote turns into a fetus, and nine months later, you will give birth to it.

Since ovulation happens only once a month, women have only 12 chances in a year to get pregnant. However, even though ovulation should be a common thing to all women, some still suffer from the condition called, anovulation, or the absence of ovulation. Women who suffer from the said condition cannot get pregnant. Anovulation is one leading cause of infertility in women.

How are Fertile Days determined?

If you are aware when your body will ovulate, it will be easy to find out when your fertile days are. In definition, fertile days are the days before you ovulate. They are deemed the days when you have great chance of conceiving, because having sexual contacts beginning the 6th day before you ovulate, daily after that, up until the day of your ovulation, will ensure that one sperm, out of the millions that’ll enter your cervix, will fertilize the egg that your ovaries will release. Sperm can remain viable for days in the cervix, which is why sperm deposited in the cervix a few days before ovulation still has the ability to still penetrate the egg that hasn’t even been released yet.

Methods of ovulation testing are naturally considered as one of the natural fertility methods around, since they increase women’s chances of getting pregnant. Examples of techniques on checking whether your body is ovulating or not are, ovulation test kits that can be purchased in stores where you can find pregnancy test kits, using an online Fertility Calendar, charting your basal body temperature (BBT) by using a BBT thermometer, and observing changes in your cervical mucus. There are a few more than the ones I mentioned, but they are more complex. The tools and techniques above are easier to use and do.

If you cannot get pregnant, and anovulation is not the cause, there are available natural infertility cures [http://infertilitycures.org/] that work. You don’t need to turn to conventional medicine for the cure, try the natural ones first; they are safer and more effective.
