- 1). Bend open the jump ring slightly with your pliers to connect it to the ring on the end of the 16-inch chain and onto one clasp. String a bead onto the chain from the opposite end of the chain.
- 2). Close the jump ring so the clasp is securely connected to the chain. Bend open another jump ring and connect it to the ring on the opposite end of the same chain and onto the matching side of the other clasp. Close the second jump ring to secure the chain to the clasp and to "trap" the bead onto the necklace.
- 3). Bend open the third jump ring slightly with your pliers to connect it to the ring on the end of the longer chain and onto the remaining loop of one of the clasps. Close the jump ring to secure the clasp to the chain. String a bead onto the chain from the opposite end.
- 4). Bend open the fourth jump ring and connect it to the remaining chain end and ring on the remaining clasp. Close the jump ring to secure the chain to the clasp and to "trap" the second bead.
